VALLEY — Mr. Wayne M. Brown, 69, of Valley, Ala. passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at EAMC-Lanier Hospital in Valley.

Mr. Brown was born in Langdale on December 28, 1948 to the late Charlie C. Brown Jr. and Annie Pearl Hubbard Brown. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lee Brown and Phillip D. Brown, and a niece, Robin Abney.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and had retired from WestPoint Pepperell.

Mr. Brown was an avid University of Alabama fan. He enjoyed watching movies, attending wrestling matches, and in his younger years, loved bowling.

He is survived by his sisters, Dianne B. Jones, Lake Harding community; Joan (Wayne) Junghans, Cypress, Texas; Jean Brown, Opelika; sisters-in-law  Mary Alice Brown and Charlotte Brown; nieces and nephews Robby (Angie) Jones, Ronnie Jones, Will Junghans, Ashleigh Junghans, Vince Brown, Vickie Williams, Amy (David) McGlothen, Mark Rogers, Charidy Parkerson and  Hope Price, and by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 21 at the Fairfax Cemetery. The Rev. Darren White officiated. Mr. Brown’s family received friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley from 6 to 8 p.m. EST on Saturday, January 20.
