LaFAYETTE, Ala. — Mrs. Annie Louise Finley Owens, 86, of LaFayette, devout and resolute in her faith, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, 11 a.m. CST at St. John United Methodist Church, 4509 County Rd. 28, LaFayettte. Pastor Julia Marbury will officiate and Rev. Gary L. Dixon will be the eulogist. Interment will follow in Handy Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Mrs. Owens was born September 25, 1931 in Chambers County, Ala. to the parentage of the late Mr. Albert Finley and Mrs. Sarah Ware Finley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Rev. Curtis H. Owens.

Mrs. Owens is survived by four brothers, Albert Finley Jr., Charles (Nell) Finley, and Walter (Josephine) Finley, all of LaFayette, and James (Margie) Finley of Mobile, Ala.; six sisters, Mary (Alfred) Jennings of Lanett, Ala.,  Dorothy (Julian) Relf, Sr. of Decatur, Ga., Isabella Jackson, and Lorene Holloway, both of LaFayette, and Cynthia (Dwyane) Fears of West Point, Ga.;  three sisters- in- law, Mary Owens Lyerly and Jeanette Owens, both of LaFayette, and  Annie Ruth Tucker of Akron, Ohio; a god-daughter, Shadera (Nancy) Rivers of Richmond, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
