LANETT — Mrs. Kathy Cotney, 65, of Lanett, Ala. died Saturday January 27, 2018 at her residence.  Mrs. Cotney was born in Langdale, Alabama December 3, 1952 to the late Eugene Robert LaFountain and the late Effie Holland LaFountain.

She was a member of the Bridge Church in Beulah, Ala. and was retired from the Lee County Revenue Commissioner’s Office.  At her request, no services will be planned.

She is survived by three children, Chris Parmer of Beulah, Ala., Mike Parmer of Franklin, Ga., and Terrie Parmer of Thomaston, Ga.; two step sons, Joey Cotney and Kevin Cotney, both of Valley, three sisters, Dorothy Reaves of Beulah, Tressie Burette of Huguley and Theda Taylor of Beulah and six grandchildren.
