Valley reports

VALLEY — Six people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports:

Brandon Workman, 35, of Valley has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer.

Ashleigh McCoy, 38, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and theft by deception, fourth degree.

Ashley Nicole Jennings, 26, of Pelham, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court (FTA) to answer a traffic-related charge.

Mariah Elizabeth Hoard, 20, of LaGrange, has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.

Carolyn Dennis, 47, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

Jacari Jonta Atkinson, 32, has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.

In incidents reported in Valley over the weekend, an incident of criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on Trammell Avenue; property damage was reported on the 7200 block of 20th Avenue; criminal mischief, third, was reported on the 1000 block of Scale Circle; theft of property, fourth degree, reported on the 6400 block of Cleveland Road; theft of lost property reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue; theft of property, fourth degree, reported on the 6400 block of Cleveland Road; change bills circulating and theft of property, fourth, on the 2800 block of 20th Avenue; duty upon striking a vehicle was reported on both the 3500 block of 20th Avenue and the 4500 block of Fairfax Bypass.

Lanett reports

LANETT — Six people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Wayne Floyd, 56, of Valley has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

James William Smith Jr., 51, of Lanett has been charged with two counts of harassment.

Anthony Shane Carter, 25, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – traffic.

Jamie Clayton Robertson, 36, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

Fernando Ventura Ortiz, 40, of Salem, Ala. has been charged with criminal mischief, third degree.

Scotty Reed, 41, of Lanett has been charged with loitering.

In incidents reported to the Lanett Police Department, theft of property, second degree, was reported on the 1200 block of North 12th Avenue; theft of property, third, was reported on the 1100 block of North 10th Street; possession of a forged instrument, first degree, reported on the 1700 block of South Broad Avenue; harassment and public lewdness reported on the 1600 block of Magnolia Road; theft of services, fourth degree, reported on the 1800 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway; theft of lost property, fourth, reported in the Cherry Valley Shopping Center and theft of property, fourth, in the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue.
