Valley reports
VALLEY — Officers with the Valley Police Department had a very busy weekend. A total of 11 arrests were reported. According to VPD reports:
Shanna Wonnette Thompson, 40, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and carrying a concealed weapon;
Jacob Sanders, 25, of Valley has been charged with criminal trespass, second degree;
Brandon Hartman, 23, of Valley has been charged with criminal trespass, second degree;
Dewrell Smith, 20, of Opelika has been charged with two counts of bail jumping, second degree;
Jordan Lance Sturkie, 26, of Valley has been charged with robbery, second degree, and assault, first degree;
Joshua David Brawner, 32, of Valley has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and escape, third degree;
Jessica Brawner, 29, of Valley has been charged with obstructing government operations;
Lorenzo Levett, 48, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
Shakeyva Postell, 22, of LaFayette has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
Jacob Christopher Lawrence, 27, of Adamsville, Ala. has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree;
Kalyn Michelle Rape, 27, of Opelika has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree.
In incidents reported in Valley over the weekend, VPD officers are investigating:
Theft of property, fourth degree, on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue; criminal trespass, third degree, on the 3000 block of Highway 29; theft of property, fourth degree, on the 2900 block of 20th Avenue; theft of property, fourth degree, on the 300 block of Hodge Street; burglary, third, and theft of property, fourth, on the 200 block of River Road; duty upon striking an unoccupied vehicle on the 100 block of Crest Club Drive; theft of property, fourth, on the 6900 block of 21st Street, and harassment on the 500 block of Fob James Drive.
Lanett reports
LANETT — Seven people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,
David Wayne Jarnagan, 41, of Lanett has been charged with obstructing government operations;
Micaiah Symone Pollard, 18, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest;
Patricia Baker James, 52, of LaFayette has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;
Elanda Silmon, 46, of LaFayette has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;
Roy Lee James, 58, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI);
Montorious Antron Harrison, 41, of Valley has been charged with DUI;
Debra Davidson, 54, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree.
Sheriff’s Office reports
LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Sheriff’s Office reports,
Edward Deal, 34, of Opelika has been charged with two counts of failure to pay (FTP) for possession of drug paraphernalia, and Jalen Cooper, 33, of Lanett has been charged with a probation violation.
This morning there were 144 inmates in the Chambers County jail.
West Point reports
WEST POINT — Five people were arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,
Brandon Kennebeck, Matthew Turner and Kelsi Weston have each been charged with burglary;
Tera N’Diaye of Atlanta has been charged with driving without a license;
Christopher Gilliam of West Point has been charged with DUI.
In incidents being investigated by West Point police officers, burglary was reported on Avenue J, entering an auto and theft by taking reported on Avenue I, disorderly conduct on East 7th Street, entering an automobile on East 7th Street and burglary and theft by taking on East 8th Street.
