GREATER VALLEY AREA — Area schools will remain closed Friday due to ongoing winter weather conditions.

Chambers and Troup County schools, Lanett city schools and Springwood School have announced they will all be closed Friday. As of this posting, Point University has not announced any closures.

City officials for Valley, Lanett and West Point have confirmed that government buildings will be open at regular hours on Friday.

West Point Mayor Steve Tramell urged driver’s to be careful.
