VALLEY — The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the first Resource and Service Fair for the Greater Valley Area Thursday evening at Valley Community Center. Chamber officials were pleased with the way it turned out.

“Given that it was the first time we’d done something like it, I think it was a huge success, and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year,” said GVACC Executive Director Ashley Crane. “We are already planning for it.”

The Resource & Service Fair gave people from the local area a chance to find out about some services that are available in the Valley area they might not have been aware of. “It was an opportunity for local people to meet face to face with many organizations at one time,” Crane said. “We had more than 40 booths set up inside the Community Center, and well over a hundred people came through to meet people and see what was available.”

“The event brought organizations together from throughout the area to share with the community information about their resources and services,” Crane added. “Representatives of the organizations enjoyed networking with each other and exchanging information about what they were doing. We want to thank everyone for being there and helping make the evening a productive one.”
