FIVE POINTS, Ala. — James Shawn Caldwell, 49, a resident of Five Points, Ala.  passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at EAMC-Lanier Hospital n Valley, Ala. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 3 p.m. EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with Rev. Claude Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow at Osanippa Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. EST at the funeral home.

Survivors include his mother, Opal Miller; sons Jesse Caldwell and Jacob Ian Caldwell; his sister, Mylinea Smith; brother, Lamar Brown (Angie); second mom, Yvonne Huddleston (Troy), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was born in Langdale, Ala. on December 1, 1968.  He enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his son Jesse.  He also liked walking in the woods and loved nature.  He worked for Batson Cook Company and was known as a hard worker.  He was a member of True Faith Baptist Church in Cusseta.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Osanippa Baptist Church for the upkeep of the cemetery.
