MR. RALPH LAMAR VAUGHAN

VALLEY — Mr. Ralph Lamar Vaughan, 81, of Valley, Ala. passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Bethany House in Auburn.

Mr. Vaughan was a retired Air Force veteran of 20 years. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He and his family resided in many states and countries during his service, including Florida, Colorado, and Germany. After retiring from the military, he was employed with WestPoint Pepperell. Ralph loved playing poker, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was known by everyone to be one of the most generous persons.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Gaynell Vaughan; his sister, Mary Lou Vaughan, and brothers Robert Vaughan and Jim Bozeman.

He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Dee (David) McCollough, Gay Wilson, and Cindy (Tony) Cooper; one son, Robert (Reba Moon) Vaughan. He also leaves children’s mothers Faye Rogers and Gloria Vaughan; nine grandchildren, Jake (Brittany) McCollough, Abby McCollough, John-David McCollough, Leigh (Clayton) Garner, Jessica Brisky, Brittany Brisky, Grace Cooper, Pvt. Hank Cooper; a very special grandson, R.J. Vaughan; numerous great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service with military honors will be held 2 p.m. EST Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Lanett First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Lanett.
