MR. WILLIE LEWIS FELIX

WEST POINT — Mr. Willie Lewis Felix, 75, of West Point, Ga. passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Felix was born September 1,1942 in Lee County, Ala.

Willie was a member of the Jehovah Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. He was self-employed as a concrete finisher for most of his life until his retirement.

“Felix,” as he was known by many, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Courtland Harper, Sr.; his parents, Otis and Ethel Mae Houston; a brother, Otis Houston, Jr., and a sister, Gladys Felix.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his common law wife of 40 years, Lavonne Wilson, West Point, Ga.; four daughters, Shavonna McFarlin, West Point, Sherry (Raymond) Harrison, Atlanta, Ga., Kimberly Alexander, Lanett, Ala., and Angela (Calvin) Johnson, LaGrange, Ga.; one son, Michael (Nikita) Felix, West Point; two kids he reared as his own, Zibreka Brooks and Shelton Wilson, West Point; a special son-in-law, Adrian McFarlin, West Point; two sisters, Evelyn Houston and Juanita Cox,West Point; fourteen grandchildren, Adriontae McFarlin, Khisten Brooks, Makyle Felix and Gakhya Felix, all of West Point; Marquetta Linder, Marcus Linder, Myron Dixon, Deshaun Johnson, Calvin Johnson Jr, Demarco Johnson, and Rico Johnson, all of LaGrange; Madison Bledsoe and Courtland Harper, Jr. of Lanett and Braylon McGruder of Manchester, Ga.; an array of great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Torrie) Trice, West Point and Sandra (Timothy) Carreker, Louisville, Ky.; three brothers-in-law, Willie (Diane) Wilson, Jr., William (Patricia) Wilson, and Jimmy (Rhonda) Wilson, all of West Point and a host of other relatives and friends; five special friends, Eddie Lee Johnson, Eddie B Johnson, Evander McBride, Horace Houston, and Roosevelt Hannah.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EST Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point, with Dr. W.T. Edmondson, pastor, the Rev. Michael Slaughter, eulogist, Evg. Stephanie Davenport, and Rev. Charles Trammell officiating. Interment will follow in Marseilles Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church on Thursday, February 15, 2015 from 1 p.m. EST until the funeral hour.
