SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS
LaFAYETTE — The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office had a busy weekend with 13 arrests being reported. They include:
John Askew, 36, of Lanett charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and FTA – youthful offender;
Irene Davis, 47, of Valley charged with a probation violation – unlawful distribution of a controlled substance;
Shawvockie Williams, 37, of LaFayette charged with a probation violation – possession of marijuana, first degree, and attempting to elude law enforcement;
Travis McCullough, 31, of Valley charged with three counts FTA – child support;
Tyriahanna Clark, 23, of Tuskegee charged with FTA – driving suspended and FTA – driving with a learner’s license;
Alfred Booker, 48, of Lanett charged with FTA – driving suspended, FTA – possession of a forged instrument and two counts FTA – child support;
Everett Presley, 32, of Opelika charged with FTA – domestic violence, third degree;
Ladarius Bonner, 30, of Salem, Ala. charged with FTA – no driver’s license;
James Forney, 41, of Fredonia charged with FTA – driving under the influence, FTA – driving while suspended and FTA – expired tag;
Darrell Crawford, 46, of Lanett charged with FTA – drug court;
Brittney Ward, 31, of Lanett charged with a grand jury indictment for the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia;
Mason Murphy, 48, of Valley charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and
Jeremy Duke, 32, of LaFayette charged with two counts of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
WEST POINT REPORTS
WEST POINT — Two arrests were reported in West Point over he weekend. According to WPPD reports,
Christoper Thomas of Mississippi has been charged with burglary; entering an auto and theft by taking, and
Howard Davidson of West Point has been charged with reckless conduct.
In incidents being investigated by West Point officers, theft by shoplifting was reported on East 10th Street; burglary was reported on Highway 18 and burglary and theft of property reported on Highland Drive.
LANETT REPORTS
LANETT — Officers with the Lanett Police Department made eight weekend arrests. According to LPD reports,
Thomas Arthur Ensley, 52, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay for driving with a revoked license;
Anthony Brian Harris, 64, of Lanett has been charged with harassment;
Ricky Whitlow Jr., 55, of LaFayette charged with FTP – disorderly conduct;
Harlis Trevor Wood, 25, of Wedowee, Ala. charged with public intoxication;
Vandal Ross, 45, of Lanett charged with disorderly conduct;
Brittany Charvon Russell, 42, of Opelika charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, and
Torquez Jaquay Silmon, 20, of Lanett charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.
In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, domestic violence, third degree, and harassment has been reported on the 1000 block of North 17th Avenue; criminal tampering, second degree, criminal trespass, first degree, and harassing communications has been reported on the 1100 block of South 12th Avenue; domestic violence, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, on the 100 block of North 11th Avenue; domestic violence, third degree, reported on the 1200 block of North 12th Avenue; criminal trespass, third degree, reported on the 2400 block of 24th Street SW; harassment reported on the 2300 block of 50thj Avenue SW, and burglary, third degree, and theft of property, second degree, reported on the 800 block of North 10th Street.
VALLEY REPORTS
VALLEY — Four people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,
Andrew Watson, 32, of Valley has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;
Tybreka Johnson, 23, of Valley has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;
Thomas Ensley, 52, of Valley has been charged with driving under the influence – alcohol, and
Dixie Brabham Geddie, 50, of Lanett has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
In incidents that were reported over the weekend, Valley officers are investigating reports of:
Theft of property, second degree, on the 100 block of Cleveland Road; domestic violence, second degree (attempted strangulation), on the 100 block of Patton Hill Road; the unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property, first degree, on the 5400 block of 22nd Avenue; domestic violence, third degree, and criminal mischief on the 4300 block of County Road 388; burglary, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, on the 4600 block of 20th Avenue, and burglary, third degree, and theft of property, second degree, reported on the 100 block of GI Street.
