Sheriff’s Office reports

LaFAYETTE — Ten people were arrested over the weekend in Chambers County. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Ronald Walker, 58, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer two counts of driving with a revoked license and a charge of combined influence; failure to pay for driving without a license and failure to pay for driving with a revoked license;

Travontez Thomas, 30, of LaFayette has been charged with two counts  of FTA – driving with a revoked license;

Joshua Sturkie, 19, of LaFayette has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Dewrell Smith, 20, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with FTA – obstruction of justice by giving a false name;

Damion Brewer, 38, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with FTA – driving with a suspended license;

Robert Avery, 59, of LaFayette has been charged with driving under the influence;

Jerry Holloway, 49, of LaFayette has been charged with DUI;

Jerry Pepper, 56, of Springfield, Oregon has been charged with FTA – child support;

Wade Daniel, 43, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree, and

Jacob Van Wettering, 26, of Cusseta, Ala. has been charged  with FTA – driving with a revoked license, harassment and resisting arrest.

There were 164 inmates in the Chambers County jail this morning.

LANETT reports

LANETT — Five people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Detreile O’Monte Devon Jones, 22, of Lanett has been charged with two counts of FTA and attempting to elude a police officer;

George Franklin Alexander, 53, of Valley has been charged with public intoxication;

Ronald Edward Walker, 58, of Five Points has been charged with DUI, possession of a concealed weapon without a permit;

Takisha Shalonta Avery, 39, of Lanett has been charged with failure to pay, and

Kenneth Pernell Abner, 49, of Lanett has been charged with resisting arrest, attempting to elude a police officer and failure to pay.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, harassment was reported on the 3500 block of Cusseta Road, theft of property, third degree, reported on the 1100 block of South 5th Street; V

VALLEY reports

VALLEY — Four people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Regina Lynn Stephens, 38, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Jovanni Santiago, 19, of Columbus, Ga, has been  charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Jakob Marshall Van Wettering, 26, of Valley has been charged with two counts of FTA – traffic, and

Charles Schroeder, 24, of Valley has been charged with FTA – theft of property.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 4500 block of Fairfax Bypass; criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 4000 block of County Road 388; theft, fourth degree, was reported on the 1600 block of 31st Street, and domestic violence, third degree, and criminal mischief, second degree, was reported on the 500 block of Cusseta Road.

WEst point reports

WEST POINT — Two people were arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Kendrick Jerrell Sanders of West Point has been charged with battery – family violence, and

Jamichael Tishon Williams of West Point has been charged with public intoxication.
