Suspect in home invasion sought

WEST POINT — Officer with the West Point Police Department are looking for two men involved with an armed robbery home invasion that took place Sunday evening.

Around 7:30 p.m., March 25,  a resident on Frank Hall Street in West Point reported two black males entered the residence, placed a gun to his face and demanded money.

Inside the home was the victim, his girlfriend and an 8-month-old child.

“They were told not to
leave the home after they had left the scene,” the police report reads.

One suspect is described as approximately 5’10” to 5’11”, 160lbs, light skin, wearing burgundy Chuck Taylor shoes, and a brown Carhartt jacket, with a low haircut, side burns and goatee with a gold-plated teeth grillz in his mouth. This suspect had a black and silver semi-automatic pistol in his hand which he placed to the victim’s head.

The other suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’2”, 135 lbs, dark skin, and was wearing all black, low haircut and minimum facial hair.

According to the police report, the suspects forced the victim to sit on his chair, then forced him in the bedroom to lie down on the floor and stole a large amount of U.S. currency from him. The girlfriend and child were forced to stay in the bedroom.

“The victim stated that he believes that he was set up,” the report states.

West Point Police Department Investigators were contacted around midnight and began working the case. Investigators are still attempting to identify the two black male suspects in this case.

West Point Police Department Investigators wanted to ensure the community that this was an isolated incident, where the suspects possibly knew the victim and set him up for this armed robbery.

“This is not just some random act; these individuals knew the victim and set him up for the robbery,” the report states.
