VALLEY — Donated items are continuing to pour in for the annual Hike/Bike/Run Auction to benefit Valley Haven School. On Tuesday morning, Valley Haven Executive Director Craig Brown, Auction Committee Chairman Richard Bolt, Chris Miller of the Valley Haven staff and client Andy Price visited five local businesses to receive donations.

Dr. Jason Atherton Family Dentistry donated a check in support of the Hike/Bike/Run, Dr. Paige Collins of Collins Family Dentistry donated some certificates for free dental services, Kenny Knox gave some certificates for $400 worth of tires and services, David Monk of the SuperSonic Express Car Wash in Lanett provided a treat bag full of all  kinds of goodies, and Steve Jenkins of Gibson’s Floor Covering, Lanett, donated a rug and some items made from the wood from a mill village house.

“They were tearing it down,” Jenkins explained. “Some of the wood was still in good shape. The young men with New Birth Ministry made some interesting items with that wood that makes for keepsake items for the home.”
