LANETT — Mrs. Annie Lucille Bowser, a resident of Lanett, Ala., died Fnday, April 8, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, Ala. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. EDT from St. John Baptist Church, 820 Cherry Drive, Lanett, with Pastor Charles E. Trammell, Sr. as eulogist and overseer and Gary Fanning, officiant. Interment will follow in Concord Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Salem, Ala. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley is directing.

Public viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2018 from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Mrs. Bowser was born in Hamilton, Ga. to the late Everunice Brooks and Willie Ned Copeland.  She was affectionately called “Pearlie” by her family and close friends. Her memories will forever be engraved in the hearts of her loved ones: her soulmate, Willie James Reed, Lanett, two caring sons, Malcolm (Paris) Copeland, LaGrange, Ga. and Chaka Bowser, Columbus, Ga.; six loving daughters, Zillery (Stanley) Dunn and Alezandria (Eric, Sr.) Darden, Lanett, Tammi (Ernest) Caldwell, Konika (Joshua) Carter and Kandricka Walker, all of Valley, Ala. and Tamara (Randall) Brock, Phenix City, Ala.; four daughters by heart, Denise Hornbuckle, Regina (Lamar) Crowell, Sheila Harvey and Vonetta (Toussant) Jackson, Atlanta, Ga.; a dear mother in love, Juanita Hicks, Lanett; five sisters, Shenita (Michael) Brooks, Phenix City, Bertha Hodge, Cusseta, Ala., Geraldine (Carl) Lee, Lanett; Paula (Donald) Little, Talladega, Ala. and Elnora (Kenneth) Copeland, Valley; four brothers, Willie (Charlene) Coleman, Columbus, Ga., Sidney (Latosha) Brooks, Phenix City, Willie (Mary) Hicks, Sr. and Paul (Tasha) Hicks, both of Lanett; 23 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. one great-aunt, Mildred Moore, Valley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
