LANETT — Mrs. Bobbie Nell Moore Eiland, 80, of Lanett, Ala. passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center in Opelika, Ala. She was born on August 29, 1937  in the Rose Hill community in Covington County, Ala.

Mrs. Eiland is survived by her two children, Cathy Eiland Crowder of Columbus, Ga. and Al (Sallie) Eiland of Auburn, AL; her five grandchildren, Jacob (Emily) Crowder, Leah Crowder, (Caleb) Carr, Jon (Marjorie) Eiland, Drew (Morgan) Eiland, and Will Eiland; her three great grandchildren, Isaiah Crowder, Malcolm Crowder and Graham Eiland; her sister, Betty Moore Williams of Rose Hill, Ala.; her brother, Ben (Neva) Moore of Rose Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Athan D. Eiland; and her parents, Arnold and Mildred Kelley Moore.

Mrs. Eiland was baptized at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Rose Hill. She served as church secretary for the Lanett First Baptist Church for 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling, and aunt. She was greatly loved by her nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. EDT at the Lanett First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Jordan and the Rev. B. Gene Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. EDT  until the service hour at the church. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the
Lanett First Baptist Church in her memory.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Martha Huguley, the staff of Arbor Springs Health and Rehab, and the staff of Southern Care Hospice for the kindness and compassion that was shown while caring for Mrs. Eiland.
