Lanett reports
LANETT — Three people were arrested in Lanett on Wednesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,
Chasity Elizabeth Cook, 28, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and attempting to elude a police officer;
Scotty Reed, 42, of Lanett has been charged with criminal trespassing, third degree, and
Andre Maurice, 42, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with eight counts of FTA – traffic.
In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, harassment was reported on the 1800 block of 54th Avenue; burglary, third degree, and theft of property, first degree, were reported on the 1600 block of 30th Avenue SW; the unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle and theft of property, second degree, were reported on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue; harassment was reported on the 4400 block of County Road 289 and criminal trespassing, third degree, and criminal mischief, third degree, were reported on the 1800 block of 35th Avenue SW.
Sheriff’s office reports
LaFAYETTE — Four people were arrested in Chambers County on Wednesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
Maurice Le’Blake Fears, 21, of Lanett has been charged with promoting prison contraband, second degree, possession of marijuana, second degree, and possession, possibly for sale, of a short-barrel rifle or shotgun;
Dewrell Resean Smith, 20, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with possession, possibly for sale, of a short-barrel rifle or shotgun;
Jacqueline Phillips Ray, 60, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with criminal trespassing, second degree, and
Karen Denise Stewart, 30, of Wadley, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
There were 160 inmates in the Chambers County jail Thursday morning.
Valley reports
VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,
Jalen Jamil Carlisle, 23, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and
Antonio Terrell Banks, 28, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with FTA – traffic.
In an incident being investigated by Valley officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue.
West Point reports
WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point on Wednesday. According to West Point Police Department reports,
Ericka Deramus of Montgomery, Ala. has been charged with driving without a valid license.
