LaFAYETTE — Mr. Chester M. Vines, 53, of LaFayette, Ala. passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Ala.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5 – 7 p.m. CDT at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018, 1 p.m. CDT at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Rev. Michael T. Stiggers, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mr. Vines is survived by his wife, Ethella Teresa Shealey Vines; four children: Cordarryl Shealey, MeKeldric Shealey, Shenna Burton and  Tameka Shealey; his mother, Mary P. Holloway, five sisters, Linda Williams (Johnny)  of Hurtsboro, Ala., Gloria Holloway (Nathaniel) of Collierville, Tenn., Felicia Person of LaFayette, Teressa Hamlin (Johnny) of LaFayette, and Angela Ogiste (Gregory) of Mount Dora, Fla.; two brothers: Robert James Holloway (Clenda) and Dewayne Vines; seven grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
