Mr. JUSTICE JACKSON

LANETT — Mr. Justice Ranyha Rashad “Smoove” Jackson, 23, of Stone Mountain, Ga. and formerly of Lanett passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

Justice was born on November 7, 1994 in Lanett, Ala. He was a 2013 graduate of Lanett High School, where he played basketball. He wore number 11 and was a key player on the team. During the 2011-12 school year, the Lanett Panthers won the area championship and Justice was named the team’s offensive player of the year.

After graduation, he went to Alabama State University in Montgomery and later decided to pursue his passion of being a photographer.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his mother, Faturah Jackson of LaGrange, Ga.; his father, Frankie Ross, Jr., Ellenwood, Ga,; six sisters, Burgundy Jackson, Stone Mountain, Ga., Jaila Ross, Atlanta, Jatiya Ross, Atlanta, Destiny Crawl-Alston, Ellenwood, Victoria McCalep, Ellenwood, Alessandra McCalep, Ellenwood; six brothers, Markio Jackson, LaGrange, Ga., London Gates, LaGrange, Cornelius Jefferson, Ellenwood, Bryan Cook, Ellenwood, Luke McCalep, Ellenwood, and Mack McCalep; three aunts, Renata Jackson, LaGrange; Cynthia Dunn, Lanett, Ala. and Martondell Ross; six uncles, Ike Jackson, Lanett, Sebastian Jackson, Montgomery, Ala., Jaworski Jackson, LaGrange, Rodney Ross, Lanett, Joshua Hall, Lanett and Chris Hall, Auburn, Ala.; grandparents, Dr. Flora Jackson, LaGrange, Margaret (Alan) Ishler. Lanett and Frankie (Sarah) Ross, Sr.. LaFayette, Ala.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1 p.m. EDT at Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point with Bishop Donald Lancaster officiating Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett. The remains will lie in state at the church on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
