Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — Seven people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’’s Office reports,

Valintez Edmonson, 36, of Lanett has been charged with a probation violation and failure to pay – speeding;

Brandon Kennebeck, 21, of Lanett has been charged with burglary, third degree, and theft of property, first degree;

Edward Patten, 41, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree;

Latrese White, 35, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with FTA – insurance fraud;

Jessica Moore, 50, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with FTA – possession of a controlled substance, FTA – possession of drug paraphernalia, and a grand jury indictment for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle;

Lamont Wood, 41, of Opelika has been charged with possession of marijuana, first degree, and

Xavier Winston, 27, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, second degree, and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.

There were 150 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Friday morning.

Lanett reports

LANETT — Three people were arrested in Lanett on Thursday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Walter Robert Seagle, 38, of Lanett has been charged with using a false identity to obstruct justice, possession of a controlled substance and being a fugitive from justice;

Ethel Lemerle Wilcox, 60, of Lanett has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping, second degree, and

Xavier Jamal Winston, 27, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with FTA – traffic.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, criminal trespassing, first degree, was reported on the 100 block of East 22nd Street, breaking and entering a vehicle and theft of property, fourth degree, were reported on the 2200 block of 16th Court SW, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 400 block of North Gilmer Avenue and the fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and theft of property, third degree, was reported on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue.

Valley reports

VALLEY — One person was arrested in Valley on Thursday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Dexter Earl Holloway Jr., 27, of Valley has been charged with FTA – traffic.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, the fraudulent use of a credit/debit card was reported on the 600 block of Fob James Drive, the unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and two counts of theft of property, second degree, was reported on the 100 block of Sportsplex Drive, theft of property, first degree, was reported on the 100 block of GI Street, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 200 block of Stanfield Drive and domestic violence (criminal mischief) was reported on the 100 block of Fairway Drive.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point on Thursday. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Joseph Bailey Lane of Lanett was charged with hit and run and duty to stop at the scene of an accident.

In an incident being investigated by West Point officers, a theft was reported on Arrowhead Drive.
