Graduation ceremonies and what to expect in June

HI THERE! You wonderful readers. This is surely the season to raise your eyebrows with all the exciting happenings that have taken place and are continuing… Therefore, the communities have given the eyebrows worthwhile attention. The outstanding celebration youth and young adults annual conference will be in Opelika, AL this coming Saturday, June 9, at Ferguson with Elder James Smith at 9 a.m. All youths are encouraged to attend on the Montgomery-Phenix City-Opelika District. The Committees have planned a meaningful day for development in life.

SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS to all high school and college graduates with the growth in education that all have enjoyed and learned from. Specialties to the community, high schools, teachers, parents, coaches and also other leaders have made learning worthwhile. Valley’s community was very excited as the graduates chose the Salutatorian address and the Valedictorian address for their top messengers. The graduation was held in the Valley Community Center.

LANETT HIGH has obtained great records with its productive leaders: coaches, teachers, and principal. The year of sports 2018 was celebrated at Mt. Herman Life Center, May 17, at 6:30 p.m.. All sports were presented and honored the student for outstanding performance for this school year. Lanett High also recognized the pursue of Excellence- Senior Awards Day, Tuesday, May 15. The Senior Class presented the program and was highly recognized for the outstanding achievements of obtaining scholarships and awards. Graduation for Lanett High School was Friday, May 25, at 8:30 p.m. The Graduating Class of 2018 had a Processional, following the program addresses of the Salutatorian, Zekera Watts and then the Valedictorian, Jaren Ross. These words were very interesting, full of keep the faith and told each how to be encouraged to continue to move forward in life. Then the Presentation of the Diplomas. Benediction-Alma Mater. It was outstanding!

THE ALABAMA Department of Education, Division of Administration and Financial Services, Child Nutrition Programs, Montgomery, Ala., sponsors site agreement for Summer Food Service Program.
