Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — A total of 13 people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

› James Whaley, 30, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with harassment;

› Jessica Short, 26, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay – youthful offender;

› Gabriel Bledsoe, 59, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with failure to pay – operating a vehicle without insurance;

› Randy Keener, 43, of Signal Mountain, Tenn. has been charged with being a fugitive from justice;

› Hunter Mitchell, 23, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with the unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree;

› Selene Daniel, 53, of LaFayette has been charged with driving under the influence;

› Gerregous Russell, 28, of Alexander City, Ala. has been charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and and the unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree;

› Joslin Meadows, 22, of LaFayette has been charged with failure to pay – no child restraint;

› Billy Spears Jr., 34, of Lanett has been charged with probation violation;

› Mary Ray, 43, of Lanett has been charged with negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument (bad check);

› Brandon Carwell, 26, of LaFayette has been charged with failure to pay – child support;

› Quintavious Ridgeway, 27, of Lanett has been charged with a probation violation, and

› Quinton Brown, 32, of Lanett has been charged with failure to pay – child support.

There was a total of 175 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Monday morning.

Lanett reports

LANETT — A total of 11 people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

› Brandon Donta Carwell, 26, of Lanett has been charged with three counts of failure to appear in court to answer traffic-related charges;

› Quintavious Lamartez Ridgeway, 27, has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

› Christopher Larry Moore, 28, of West Point has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia;

› Tomquevious Edmetrius Floyd, 35, of Cusseta, Ala. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

› Billy Ray Spears Jr., 34, of Lanett has been charged with a probation violation;

› Jailisa Nicole Sharda Washington, 24, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – traffic;

› Jessica Anne Short, 26, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

› Quintin Marquez Brown, 32, of Lanett has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and bail jumping, second degree;

› Terrence Antonio Jeffery, 42, of Lanett has been charged with harassment and bail jumping, second degree;

› Isaiah Coral Tumbs, 33, of Lanett has been charged with criminal trespassing, third degree, and

› James Glaze, 32, of Lanett has been charged with receiving stolen property, fourth degree.

In incidents that were reported over the weekend, Lanett officers are investigating reports of assault, third degree, on the 5000 block of 14th Street SW, duty to give information following a traffic accident near mile marker 76 on I-85, harassment was reported on the 400 block of North 13th Avenue, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 1200 block of South 3rd Street, harassment was reported on the 300 block of South 13th Street, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 300 block of South 11th Street, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 1300 block of South Gilmer Avenue, robbery, third degree, and theft of property, third degree, were reported on the 2100 block of South Broad Avenue, breaking and entering a vehicle and theft of property, second degree, were reported on the 1000 block of South Jennings Avenue, harassment was reported on 32nd Street SW, theft of property, first degree, was reported on the 1600 block of 23rd Avenue SW, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 800 block of South 1st Avenue, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 100 block of Cherry Drive, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling was reported on the 800 block of South 8th Avenue and on the 400 block of North 6th Avenue, and domestic violence, third degree was reported on the 1500 block of 57th Avenue SW.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Valley Police Department officers are investigating incidents of harassment and criminal mischief, third degree, that were reported on the 4900 block of 31st Street, the unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property, that was reported on the 100 block of Maple Street and theft of property and criminal mischief, third degree, that was reported on the 100 block of 19th Street.
