Sheriff’s  reports

LaFAYETTE — Seven people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

› Kelvoski L. Marbury, 26, of Lanett has been charged with failure to pay – harassment;

› Demerus W. Bell, 19, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer child support charges;

› Kevin Mark Scott, 18, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with burglary, third degree, and theft of property, first degree;

› Cristy Lee Cashman, 46, of Valley has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia;

› Anthony Lee Briskey, 41, of LaFayette has been charged with FTA – switched tag and having no auto insurance;

› Jonrikus Washington, 31, of Lanett has been charged with FTP – child support, and

› Timothy Lynn Parker, 38, of Roanoke has been charged with failure to pay – driving with a suspended license.

There were 164 inmates in the Chambers County jail Friday morning.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — In incidents that were reported to the West Point Police Department on Thursday, West Point officers are investigating reports of shoplifting on East 10th Street, entering an automobile on Wisteria Lane and a hit and run on East 12th Street.

LaFayette  reports

LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in LaFayette on Thursday. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

› Anthony Briskey, 41, has been charged with robbery, first degree, and

› Antoine Smedley, 31, has been charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits.

In incidents being investigated by LaFayette officers, robbery, first degree, was reported on LaFayette Street North, domestic violence was reported on 1st Street NE, and possession of drug paraphernalia was reported on Avenue A.
