VALLEY – It looks like Steak ‘n Shake in Valley has permanently closed.

A sign on the restaurant’s door this weekend stated the declaration that the business would no longer be open.

It read: “Permanently closed. As of today, we are permanently closed. We would like to thank our wonderful staff and guests, it has been our pleasure to serve you.”

Despite being closed, there was still numerous windows with signage, advertising several menu items at the 491 Fob James Drive location.

This is the second time the business has closed. Approximately one year ago, the doors closed following issues of expediency. It reopened this past December with a new exterior and had transitioned from a cook-to-serve restaurant to a faster, counter-serve type of restaurant.

As of Sunday afternoon, the Valley location was still listed on the Steak ‘n Shake website.
