SALEM, Ala. — Mr. Morris Deon Allen, 34, of Salem, Ala. and formerly of LaFayette passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

Visitation for Mr. Allen will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. CDT at Powell Chapel United Methodist in LaFayette.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 1 p.m. CDT at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Rev. Michael T. Stiggers, pastor, Dr. Randy B. Kelly, and the Rev. Christopher Powell, eulogist, presiding.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Thomasina Allen; three children: Ciera Lovejoy of Bristol, Tenn,, Amari Deon Allen of Salem, Ala. and Christian Isaiah Batts of Opelika Ala.; parents Morris and Lisa Allen of LaFayette; two sisters, Whitney Allen of Valley, Ala. and Deidra Allen (Demarcus) of Auburn, Ala.; his paternal grandmother, Johnnie M. Allen of LaFayette; a niece, Kaiva Allen of Valley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Douglas and Rochelle Thomas of Tallassee, Ala. and Joanne Greathouse, Notasulga, Ala., and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and friends.
