Mrs. Lottie Nolen

PELL CITY, Ala. — Funeral services for Lottie Nolen, 90, of Pell City, Ala. and formerly of Chambers County, will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 2 p.m. CDT from Bethel Baptist Church in Welch, Ala. with the Rev. Brad Moseley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1 p.m. CDT on Thursday.

Mrs. Nolen passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at The Village at Cook Springs in Pell City.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Whitman (Michael) of Pell City; one son, James Ricky Nolen (Marsha) of Simpsonville, S.C.; four grandchildren, Charles Michael Whitman, Jr. (Jennifer), Anna Michelle Whitman McLain (Curtis), Phillip Greer (Holly), and Michael Greer (Mallory); seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Harris of Dothan, Ala.

Mrs. Nolen’s grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

A Chambers County native, Mrs. Nolen was born on April 28, 1928, the daughter of Grover and Lucille Anna Patterson Howell. She was a member of Moody First Baptist Church and had worked for WestPoint Pepperell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Hershel Nolen; six brothers and two sisters.
