Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — Three people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

› Denise Maddox, 31, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with grand jury indictments for domestic violence, second degree (burglary), and theft of property, second degree. She has also been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of domestic violence, third degree.

› Shemika Simmons, 39, of Lanett has been charged with grand jury indictments for theft of property, first degree, and burglary, third degree;

› Wes Samuels, 31, of LaFayette has been charged with being a forbidden person to have a pistol.

There were 177 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Friday morning.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Thursday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

› Richard Earl England, 57, of Valley has been charged with two counts of failure to appear in court to answer traffic-related charges, and

› Shawn Charles Teaver, 37, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with giving false information to a police officer.

In an incident that’s being investigated by Valley police, theft of property, first degree, was reported on the 2200 block of Columbus Road.

Lanett reports

LANETT — In incidents being investigated by Lanett police officers, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, third degree, were reported on the 800 block of South 6th Avenue, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, third degree, were reported in the 600 block of South 3rd Avenue, criminal littering was reported on the 2700 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway and criminal trespassing, first degree, and criminal mischief, third degree, were reported on the 800 block of North 11th Avenue.

West Point Reports

WEST POINT — In incidents being investigated by officers from the West Point Police Department, the theft of an automobile was reported on Avenue C (it was later recovered), criminal trespassing was reported on East 10th Street, fraud was reported on East 8th Street and entering an automobile was reported on Ridgewood Drive.

LaFayette reports

LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in LaFayette on Thursday. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

› Cobe Dashawn Bowens, 26, has been charged with burglary, third degree, and harassment.
