BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Mr. Johnny McCurdy, 60, of Birmingham, Ala. and formerly of LaFayette, Ala. passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018, 1 p.m. CDT at Macedonia Baptist Church in LaFayette (Buffalo), Ala., with the Rev. Darryl Jordan, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mr. McCurdy is survived by his daughter, Torrie McCurdy Ross and son, Demetrius Towles, five sisters: Nora McCurdy of Gadsden, Ala., Fannie Dixon of Syracuse, N.Y., Susan Brooks and Patricia Williams, both of Columbus, Ga. and Fredonia (Walter B.) Giolaxte of Camp Hill, Ala., four brothers: Albert Floyd of Auburn, Ala., Willie B. (Glennie) Floyd of Opelika, Ala., Sim (Lucille) Floyd of Lanett, Ala. and Robert Floyd of LaFayette, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren,  a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
