Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Wednesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

› Larry Odey Hicks, 62, of Lanett has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer child support charges;

› Demario Rockam Menefield, 26, of Valley has been charged with FTA – possession of marijuana, second degree;

› Kendonsky Dantrell Pruitt, 31, of Valley has been charged with a probation violation;

› Jerry Lee Ray, 30, has been charged with a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act, or SORNA, and

› Todricas Askew, 36, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – receiving stolen property.

A total of 158 inmates were in the Chambers County jail this morning.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

› Kendonsky Dantrell Pruitt, 31, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and

› Susan Kay Nix, 51, of Valley has been charged with public intoxication.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, harassment was reported on the 3000 block of Hopewell Road, the fraudulent use of a debit/credit card was reported on the 1100 block of County Road 519, the fraudulent use of a debit/credit card was reported on the 500 block of Fob James Drive, property damage was reported near mile marker 77 on I-85 and the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle reported on the 1200 block of Whitesmill Road.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — In incidents that were reported to the West Point Police Department on Wednesday, officers are investigating reports of criminal trespassing on Crestview Road and incidents of entering automobiles reported on Avenue K and on East 7th Street.
