Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — Eight people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

› Brian Murphy, 41, of Valley has been charged with failure to appear in court on not making child support payments;

› Shelly Waites, 37, of Valley has been charged with harassment;

› Billy Jordan, 28, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with FTA – possession of a controlled substance;

› Nicholas Bryant, 38, of Opelika has been charged with possession of a controlled substance;

› Durell Vaughan, 22, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

› Christopher Holloway, 38, of LaFayette has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

› Delmarius Washington, 35, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – child support, and

› Jarez Carlisle, 20, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – no driver’s license.

There were 153 inmates in the Chambers County jail Monday morning.

Lanett reports

LANETT — Seven people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

› Tramikieus Olajuwon Gilliam, 27, of West Point has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

› Merrentez Tidricus Qyeshawn Thomas, 35, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;

› Delmarius Lashon Washington, 35, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

› Charlene Ladawn Kelley, 34, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

› Quantavious C.J. Anderson, 25, of Phenix City, Ala. has been charged with harassment and unlawful imprisonment, second degree;

› Jerry Jones, 51, of LaFayette has been charged with FTA – traffic, and

› Richard Bailey, 47, of Lanett has been charged with driving under the influence.

In incidents that were reported over the weekend, Lanett officers are investigating reports of theft of theft of property, fourth degree, on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue, domestic violence, third degree, on the 1600 block of 21st Street SW, assault, third degree, and criminal use of defensive spray on the 5300 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, third degree, on the 800 block of South 1st Avenue, the unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle reported on the 1700 block of 16th Avenue SW, assault, third degree, on the 600 block of South 2nd Avenue, domestic violence, third degree, on the 1000 block of East 3rd Avenue, criminal trespassing, third degree, on the 3700 block of 35th Street SW and domestic violence, third degree, on the 1100 block of 15th Place SW.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Three people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,

› Justin Lewis Royster, 18, of Valley has been charged with FTA – traffic, Bennie Cooper, 53, of Valley has been charged with public intoxication, and

› Matthew Patton, 33, of Valley has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree.

In incidents that were reported over the weekend, Valley officers are investigating the unauthorized use of motor vehicle on the 2200 block of 51st Street, theft of property, second degree, on the 300 block of Bland Street, lost property on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue, harassing communications on the 3500 block of 35th Street, property damage near mile marker 77 on I-85, domestic violence, third degree, and criminal mischief on the 5900 block of 23rd Avenue, animal cruelty on the 3400 block of 20th Avenue, identity theft on the 1200 block of County Road 271 and two incidents of the unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property, fourth degree, on Sydney Street.

LaFayette reports

LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in LaFayette over the weekend. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

› Tyler Brown, 23, has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, and

› Earscell Tate, 61, has been charged with DUI.

West point reports

WEST POINT — West Point police officers are investigating an incident of theft by shoplifting that was reported over the weekend on East 10th Street.
