The 26th  Annual Reunion of the Historic River View School was held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the school cafeteria.

The festivities began at 10:00 AM EST with Dana Johnson and Mary Sue Newton greeting the attendees and getting them registered as they entered the building.  Lunch was  served at 1:00 PM with Charles Story praying for blessings on the food. 

Door prizes were awarded  with Mia Breland, a 4th grade student at Fairfax Elementary School drawing the winning prize numbers. Charles Story announced the numbers as they were drawn During this time,  Charles Story and Sammy Newton provided a program of music including “My Way” and many more beautiful songs.

A time to remember those who were deceased since the last reunion was observed. These included Lana Wiggins, Dorothy White Morris, Dorenda Whitten, Barbara Andrews, Nancy Duffey Cantrell, Arlene Earls Stewart, Deanna Hines Pitts, Joseph Elbert Coker, Rev. Frank Rittenberry, Renee Clark, Sloman Walker, Vivian Williams Lung, Debbie Hill Wood Sheridan, Jody Wilkerson and J. R. Gordy.
