LaFAYETTE — A man has been arrested in LaFayette on charges of first-degree kidnapping and second-degree domestic violence by strangulation.

According to a press release from LaFayette police, John Finley, age unknown, was arrested by LaFayette officers on Sept. 14 after they responded to a call of domestic violence at Thomas Trailer Park.

After further investigation, it was revealed that the unidentified victim had been kidnapped, held against her will and abused, the release said. After her escape from the trailer, the victim contacted police who arrested Finley.

Further details pertaining to the initial call to police, the victim’s condition, the arrest and additional information on Finley was not provided by LaFayette police who were unavailable for further comment as of the time of this report.
