LaFAYETTE — Mr. Curtis Jones, 77, of LaFayette, Ala. passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Ala.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, 1 p.m. CDT at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Rev. Melvin Owens, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mr. Jones is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Darryl) Seroyer and Sylvia Allen, both of LaFayette; four sons, the Rev. Douglas (Jeanette) Jones Sr. and Emmanuel Jones, both of LaFayette; Tony Jones of Lanett, Ala. and John Burton of LaFayette; three sisters, Nannie Mae Jones and Dorothy Finley, both of LaFayette, and Jennifer Whitaker of Valley, Ala., one brother, Eddie (Thelma) Jones Sr. of Atlanta, Ga., a special brother-in-law, Jeffrey Holloway of LaFayette; three sisters-in-law, a granddaughter whom he raised, Shervarianno Jones of Opelika, Ala, a special grandson, LaKevis Jones of LaFayette, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
