Mr. Jerry Bassett, age 55, of Valley, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 in Riverside, AL.

Mr. Bassett is survived by his five siblings, Kenny Bassett, Wanda (Phil) Moore, Shirley (Mike) Ussery, Steve Bassett, and Lisa (Daymond) Rider; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Morgan Bassett and Martha Ann Bassett; and his brother, David Bassett.

Mr. Bassett was born on July 18th, 1963 in Langdale, AL.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was a very big University of Alabama fan and enjoyed traveling, listening to country music, being close to water, and fishing.  Above all, he loved his family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.  Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
