VALLEY — Mr. Bobby Floyd, a resident of Valley, Ala. died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at EAMC-Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. EDT from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (Beulah community), Valley, Ala. with Pastor James Hill officiating and Rev. Tyrice Holt, serving as the eulogist.  Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery.  Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.  Public viewing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. EDT at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

His survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Kathleen Floyd, Valley; his mother, Effie Mae Floyd, Valley; three children, Michael L. Floyd, Huntsville, Ala., Marcus D. Floyd, Fayetteville, Ga. and Miisha B. Floyd, Jonesboro, Ga.; two step-children, Ruthshun (John) Heath and Albrandius (Akela) Flournoy both of West Point, Ga.; four grandchildren, Dinaja Heath, Janee Heath, Johneesia Heath and Amiyah Flournoy all of West Point; his siblings, Diane McCulloh and Helen (Rev. Nelson) Fears, both of Valley, Henry (Suzanne) Floyd, Greer, S,C., Barbara F. Hightower, Lanett, and Jean Marshall, Valley; uncles Billy Joe Wilson, Chicago, Ill., Elijah Marshall, Gus Marshall and Mike Marshall, all of Valley; aunts Willie Pearl Harris, Birmingham, Ala., Mary Marshall and Willie Mae Marshall, both of Valley; sisters-in-law Cassandra (Melvin) Grier, Valley, Martha (Howard) McMurry, Louisville, Ky., Betty (Cary) Boyd, Mary Morgan and Patricia (Phil) Dixon, all of Atlanta, Ga., Shirley Barnes and Cynthia Boyd, both of Lanett, Brenda Stegall, Carrollton, Ga., Marjorie Boyd, Columbus, Ga. and  Catherine Boyd, Chicago; brothers-in-law Jimmy Ferrell, Atlanta, Dock (Pam) Smith and Roger (Linda) Hendrix, Carrollton, Ga., and John Boyd, Lanett; close friends Isaiah Brock and Jaquivus Boyd, both of Lanett, Willie Gene Stringer, West Point, Ga. and Randy Miller, Valley, and, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Online condolences can be expressed at www.davismemorialmortuary.com.
