LANETT — Ms. Annie L. Bailey Reid, 98, of Lanett, Ala. died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Diversicare of Lanett. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. EDT, Monday, October 22, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lanett with the Rev. Jesse Walker, pastor and eulogist, Dr. Lamar Johnson, officiant, Dr. W.T. Edmondson, Rev. John H. Flournoy and Rev. Stanley Roberts presiding. The remains will lie in state at the church an hour before the service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett.

Mrs. Reid was born in Chambers County to the late Mae Bell Clayton and Duke Flournoy on July 20, 1920. She was retired from the Lanett Bleachery & Dye Works and was loved by everyone who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Eugene Bailey; her daughter, Sherry Potts; stepson George Reid, 21 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Bailey, and daughters Mary Core, Bernice Seaton and Gladys Chappell.

She was a member of the Zion Rest Baptist Church in Valley.
