LaFAYETTE — Mrs. Charlene Finley Capers, 82, of LaFayette, Ala. passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, 1 p.m. EDT at Powell Chapel United Methodist Church in LaFayette, with Dr. Randy B. Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park in Columbus, Ga.

Mrs. Capers is survived by her sister, Kathy Heard of LaFayette; four  nephews, Christopher Finley (JaTasha Howard), Timothy Finley, Carlo Finley and Kenneth Finley, all of LaFayette; her aunt, Eulalar Drake of LaFayette; three step-children, Edie C. (James, Jr.) Kelley, Patricia A. (Michael) Dixon and Darryl A. Culverson, ten step-grandchildren, eleven step great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
