LaFayette boys defeat Booker T. Washington

LaFayette — The LaFayette boys basketball team improved to 3-0 on the young season after defeating Booker T. Washington 62-51 on Tuesday night.
Bulldogs junior guard Corey Boston led all Bulldog scorers with 24 points. Juniors Matavais Burton and Markevious Moore also finished in double digits, finishing with 14 and 13 points each on the night.
The Bulldogs broke away with a huge third quarter, outscoring Booker T. Washington 22-14 in the period. LaFayette also cut down on team fouls in the second half, committing four in the latter two quarters as opposed to eight committed before halftime.
The team will return to action on Thursday, as LaFayette goes on the road to face crosstown opponent Valley.
