A two-vehicle traffic crash claimed the life of a Lanett man Monday morning at about 9:30 a.m., according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Nicholas David Patterson, 29, was killed after his 2008 Nissan Sentra collided with a 2018 Mack tractor-trailer on Highway 50 near Providence Road just east of LaFayette.

The press release said Patterson wasn’t wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was made available Monday, and the police will continue to investigate.
