VALLEY — Mr. Earnest K. Brisky, 71, of Valley, Ala. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Ala.

Mr. Brisky was born on Jan. 18, 1947 in Langdale, Ala. to the late Clem Brisky and Lillie Mae Sears Brisky.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon Brisky and Charles Brisky.

Mr. Brisky was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church in Valley.

Earlier in his career, he worked for the WestPoint Pepperell Service Center for several years and then went on to work at the Carter Mill.  He went on to work and retire from Auburn University.

Away from work and after his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a lifelong avid University of Alabama football fan.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Brisky; children Tina Hayes, Alicia (Joseph) Smith, Jeff Brisky, Jennifer (Heath Carroll) Smith; his sister, Ruby Nell (Brent) Miller; grandchildren Ricky Smith, Ariel Knight, Justin Smith, Amber Smith, Zack Smith, Jacob Carroll, Camron Carroll, and Lizzy Brisky; great-grandchildren Connor Smith, Colton Smith, Kayden Knight, and Alex Knight.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 at the Hopewell United Methodist Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Jonathan C. Herston will officiate.  His family will be receiving friends at their residence Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. EST until 8 p.m. EST.
