PHENIX CITY, Ala. — James F. Cannon, 74, of Phenix City, Ala. passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Newsome Cemetery in Phenix City with Tommy Harrison officiating.  The family received friends Monday night, Nov. 19, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City.

Mr. Cannon was born in Tallapoosa County, Ala. on Nov. 22, 1943, son of the late Charlie L. Cannon and Minnie Fuller Cannon.  He was the owner and operator of Valley Auto Sales for over 30 years.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Ruth Cannon and Joyce Cannon and two brothers, Charles Cannon and Carl Cannon.

Mr. Cannon is survived by his loving wife, Diann Cannon of Phenix City; daughters Peggy Finney and Patti Binns; a son, Pat Cannon; grandchildren Kelli Richardson, Kyler Cannon, Kayden Cannon, Gracie Binns and Gabby Cannon; a great-grandchild, Rhett Richardson, and extended family and friends.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the charity or your choice in his honor.
