Mr. Phillip Williams

LAKE HARDING, Ala. — Mr. Phillip Williams, 78, of the Lake Harding community, Ala. passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 4, 1940 in Langdale, Ala.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nita Williams; his three children, Phyllis (Kirk) Borden, Lisa (Brad) Anderson, and John Williams; his two sisters, Janice (Clyde) Pike and Lelot (fiancée Harold Carter) Hicks; his sister in law, Mary (Dahl) Luvaul; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren with one on the way; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Court Beck.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vera Williams; his three brothers, Ernest Williams, Kenneth Williams, and Lamar “Bud” Williams.

Mr. Williams enjoyed fishing, watching Alabama football, races at Road Atlanta, and NASCAR.  He was an Eagle Scout and loved his family. One of his greatest joys was his annual family trip to the beach.

A celebration of Mr. Williams’ life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 from 1 until 4 p.m. EST at the family home, 28 Lee Road 912, Valley, Ala. 36854.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
