LANETT — The Rev. Nellie F. Giles, 78, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 in Macon, Ga. She was born Sept. 29, 1940 in Russell County, Ala. and had lived most of her life in Lanett, Ala.

Rev. Giles is survived by her son, Jerald L. Giles (Barbara) of Macon, Ga.; her granddaughter, Jadesia Giles; her nephews, Kenneth James and Jordan Davis and a niece, Brittany Dunn.

Rev. Giles was a member of the St. Paul’s AME Church in Lanett and the Shaver’s Pride Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at the St. Paul’s AME Church, located at 1415 North 6th Avenue in Lanett. The Rev. James Parker, Rev. Christopher Reeve and Supt. Lewis Releford Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett.

Flowers and contributions in her memory may be entrusted to Foreman Funeral Home, located at 7248 King Road, Valley, AL 36854.
