Mrs. Myra Webb Hicks

CAMP HILL — Mrs. Myra Webb Hicks, 90, of Camp Hill,  died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Funeral services will be held at Centerview Baptist Church, Camp Hill, on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. CST with the Rev. Jimmial Harrison officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The remains will lie in state at the church from noon CST until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 from noon till 7 p.m. CST.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Chambers County to the late Albert and Lizzie Hicks on Jan. 17, 1929.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, J.D. Hicks. Mrs. Hicks was a talented homemaker, a skilled seamstress and an exceptional baker.

She was also the oldest member of the Centerview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by six children, Eddie Ruth (Leroy) Richardson of Alexander City, Lillie Hicks and Joann (Willie) Bryant and Ricky (Joann) Hicks, all of Camp Hill, Carolyn Hicks, Los Angeles, California and Pauline Ware, Opelika; two siblings, Carl Webb, San Bernardino, California and Elaine Soils, San Diego, California; 26 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren; two special friends, Mary Inez Taylor and Marie Johnson, both of Camp Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
