An avid reader and tireless educator, she supported countless students and members of the community in reaching their educational goals. Later in life, she made a personal study of the lineage of her ancestors and was a rich source of knowledge regarding the history of her family and their settlement of the McCulloh community and east central Alabama. She was a lifetime member of Beulah Methodist Church, serving in various roles of leadership, education, and community outreach. Outside of McCulloh, one of her greatest joys was spending time with friends and family on the beaches of Indian Pass, Florida.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2 p.m. CST at the Beulah United Methodist Church. The Rev. Katrina Paxson will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. CST until the service hour at the church.
