Mrs. Nix was an active member of West Side Baptist Church until her health declined. It was her honor to volunteer as a quilter for Chattahoochee Hospice for more than ten years. She loved reading her Bible, quilting and doing crossword puzzles. She was thrilled when her great granddaughter, Harper, asked to learn to quilt; because of her own love for quilting, she was overjoyed to teach her.

The family would like to thank Valley Park Manor for the loving and care she received each and every day. She loved her nickname, “Maw Maw.”

We would also like to thank Kindred and Chattahoochee Hospice for their care and support given to her and the family. We thank Dr. Arvin Kamath, Dr. Bakshi Kamath and the staff for their love and support.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 3 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.  The Reverends Chuck Anderson, Mark McGee, and David Bradshaw will officiate. Interment will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. EDT until the service hour at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Kindred or Chattahoochee Hospice.
