sheriff’s reports

LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Monday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Jean Wellman, 56, if LaFayette has been charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia;

Michael Brown, 26, of Five Points has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of driving with our a license;

Eddie Chambers, 48, of Opelika has been charged with FTA – child support;

Austin Carter, 19, of Cusseta has been charged with criminal littering, and

Milton Quarles, 51, of Riverdale, Ga. has been charged on a grand jury indictment for theft of property, first degree, and possession of a forged instrument, second degree.

There were 152 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Tuesday morning.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Three people were arrested in Valley on Monday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Virgil River Massey, 30, of Valley has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer;

Thomas Hunt, 30, of Valley has been charged with theft of property, first degree, and

Mitchell Leon Lewis, 37, of Roanoke has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 100 block of Greenberry Circle, theft of property, second degree, was reported on the 500 block of Fob James Drive and domestic violence, third-degree – harassment, was reported on the 100 block of Greenery Circle.

Lanett reports

LANETT — One person was arrested in Lanett on Monday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Montavious Stevenson, 27, of Lanett has been charged with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 2300 block of South Broad Avenue, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 600 block of South 3rd Avenue and theft of property, first degree, was reported on the 500 block of North Lanier Avenue.

West Point reports

WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point on Monday. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Lawrence Billups of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with driving with a suspended license.

LaFayette reports

LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in LaFayette on Monday. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

La’Quan Deiz De’anthony Santez Ballard, 19, of LaFayette has been charged with reckless endangerment, discharging a firearm in the city limits and possession of a pistol by a violent felon.

In incidents being investigated by LaFayette officers, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported at the Hilltop Apartments, theft of property, second degree, was reported on B Street SW, disorderly conduct was reported at the Hilltop Apartments, criminal mischief was reported on County Road 83, possession of a forged instrument, fourth degree, was reported along Highway 431 and assault incidents were reported on Highway 431 South and on Industrial Park Road.
