Police Reports Ending April 29

Lanett reports

LANETT — Eight people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Dorothy Heard, 68, of Lanett, has been charged with harassment;

Joquavian Freeman, 19, of LaFayette, has been charged with burglary, second degree, possession of a concealed weapon without  permit and attempting to elude a police officer’

Casammie Dawson, 45, of Opelika, has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer and bail jumping, second degree;

Lamichael Dawson, 35, of Lanett, has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a traffic-related charge;

Bennie McCard, 28, of Lanett, has been charged with a probation violation;

Laterrance Hutchinson, 25, of Lanett, has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;

Kenneth Ferrell, 40, of Lanett, has been charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and

Ladarius McCord, 35, of LaGrange, has been charged with criminal trespassing, third degree, and attempting to elude a police officer.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1600 block of North 6th Avenue, burglary, second degree, was reported on the 1500 block of Cherry Drive, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1700 block of 15th Avenue SW, harassing communications was reported on the 1800 block of South 4th Avenue, menacing was reported on the 5300 block of Country Club Road, separate incidents of the unauthorized use of a vehicle were reported on the 2100 block of East 1st Avenue and the 4000 block of 33rd Street SW.

Sheriff’s reports

LaFAYETTE — Three people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Nekoshia Reed, 31, of Valley, has been charged with DUI;

Charles Melvin Whitmer, 41, of Salem, has been charged with failure to pay – domestic violence, third degree – harassment, and

Galvin Tremaine Heard, 33, of Roanoke, has been charged with FTA  – driving while revoked and driving while suspended.

West point reports

WEST POINT — Two people were arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Timothy Lovelace of West Point has been charged with theft by shoplifting and

Aquarius Fears of West Point has been charged with theft by taking – automobile,
