LANETT — Mr. Larry Steve Smith, 69, of Lanett, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Smith was born in Arkansas on March 29, 1950. He was preceded in death by his father, Huey P. Smith.

Mr. Smith was a hardworking man having retired as a farm hand.  He enjoyed fishing and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Smith; mother, Dorothy Folts; children James and Brandi Burrows, Corey and Erica Burrows; siblings JoAnne (John) Garza, Margie (Mike) Mertens, Tim (Karen) Smith, Shirley Blythe, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. ET at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery.  The Rev. Mark McGee will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. ET until the service hour.
