Funeral Service for Francesca Nicole Flakes-Bailey, 40, of Valley, was on May 25  at Zion Rest Baptist Church (Heard Center), 2947 50th St. Valley, Ala. with interment Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, Ala. (West Shawmut).

Rev. Frederick Stanley Pastor, Rev. Jackie Banks, Eulogist, Rev. Dr. Frederick James, Rev. Robert Ray, and Rev. Lonnie Hutchinson assisted.

Mrs. Bailey passed away Saturday, May 18 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

 Mrs. Bailey was class of 1996 and served in the U.S. Army.

The public viewing was on May 24. Mrs. Bailey was in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors included: A devoted husband, Terry Bailey, two daughters , China Williams of Lanett, Anani Bailey of Valley ,two sons, Raeshon Williams of Lanett, Terrion Bailey of Valley, granddaughters , Haee’dyn & Rae ‘lee Williams of Lanett, one grandson Zion Summers of Lanett, parents,  Mr. and Mrs. Eddie & Robin Flakes, parents-in-law, Mr. and  Mrs. Royzell Floyd of Valley,  Mr. and Mrs. Willie Busby of Louisville, Kentucky, grandmother, Ernestine McCants of Valley, two sisters, Michele Flakes of Lanett, Tiffany (Chandra) Williams of Silver Spring, Maryland, three sisters-in-laws, Shonkedra (Bradley) Wright, and Sheronica Bailey both of Valley, Shemeka Bailey of Mobile, four uncles, Willie Jackson, Jerry(Debra) Jackson both of Lanett, Robert Jackson Jr.of Lagrange, Charles (Yvette) Jackson, John Johnson both of Valley, four aunts, Shirley (Clifford) McCants, Elaine (Rev. Robert) Ray both of Valley Carla (Kerry) Winston of Lanett, Sherry Dean Smith of Atlanta, five great-aunts , Rose Devance, Mary Evans, Jessie Pearl Jackson, Dorothy Booker all of Lanett, Annie Billingsley of Valley, one great uncle, Robert(Ann) Busbee of Valley, one special nephew, Ashton Flakes of Lanett, and a host of cousins and family members.

Nicole was preceded in death by her brother, Eldridge Flakes, maternal grandparents, Robert and Carrie “Aunt Sue” Glaze Jackson, maternal aunt, Andrea “Niecy” Stargell, paternal grandparents, Elliott “Buster” Flakes and Clyde McCants, paternal aunt, Shirlene Riddick, and nephew, Chandler Eldridge Flakes-Williams.
